Limited edition print of original artwork on paper or canvas. 

All canvas prints are printed on 450gsm poly cotton canvas with a matte surface.

Printed using EPSON Sure Colour Giclee archival inks.

All cartridges are recycled and inks are water based with no harsh chemicals.

The size refers to the artwork image size with an additional minimum 6.5cm border all the way around which is a mirror image of the artwork.

Timber for my framing is locally sourced from FSC - certified suppliers handcrafted in Luscombe QLD.

I choose to use raw Tasmanian oak on all my artworks because it pairs beautifully with my colour palette and is very durable.

The frame is 10mm wide on the face, 55mm deep with a 5mm space between canvas and frame to create a shadow line.

All prints over 100cm have stretcher frames that are braced for extra strength.

About the Artist:

Kate Owen is an abstract artist with a passion for colour. Painting fulltime from her home studio, a creative oasis with expansive views of undulating country on their property in Northern NSW which her husband farms.

Kate’s vibrant colourful abstracts provoke a delightful positive emotional response and bring joy to all her collectors.

Painting intuitively from impressions of memories and things seen around her daily, as she paints the work takes on a life of its own.Her first marks on canvas,performed in fast-drying acrylics are vigorously expansive and free. As she works Kate scribbles on paper with paint and pencil, exploring colour palettes and form. Moving back and forth between canvas and paper alternating between layers of solid and transparent paints in a process where one mark informs the next. Portions of her paper scribblings may be incorporated into the work as collage along with the use of oil sticks for line and the pure joy of drawing with such a sensuously luxurious product.
